RMswissken was founded by Robert Marango, whose journey began in a small coffee-growing household in Western Kenya. Raised in a farming community, Robert experienced firsthand how coffee income can transform lives. The proceeds from coffee farming helped support his education, creating opportunities that eventually led him to pursue higher education and build a career in Europe. This personal journey shaped a deep appreciation for the potential of coffee not only as a commodity, but as a pathway to opportunity, dignity, and long-term prosperity.

 

Today, RMswissken combines Swiss operational precision with deep-rooted East African origin expertise to create meaningful connections between producers and specialty roasters across Europe.

 

Our mission extends beyond sourcing exceptional coffees. We believe that a more transparent and efficient value chain creates better outcomes for everyone involved. By reducing unnecessary intermediaries and fostering direct, long-term relationships, we strive to ensure that a greater share of value reaches the farming communities responsible for producing these remarkable coffees.

 

Particular emphasis is placed on empowering households, especially women and children, because improvements at the household level directly translate into stronger communities, better educational opportunities, improved nutrition, and more sustainable livelihoods.
